The Million Dollar Lipgloss from Tom Ford.

By: The Madam-Editor 15/01/201424/06/2017
BeautyTom Ford, Vanity Case

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, lipgloss is my salvation. The best invention in beauty. I mean when did this happen? Tom Ford does a mean beauty collection, and a very pricey one at that but its worth the money. It took me a long time to bring myself to spend £32…

Beauty Products Myths

By: The Madam-Editor 11/11/201318/01/2014
BeautyVanity Case

When it comes to fashion we have the tendency to determine the quality of a product by its brand name and price, hence the more expensive a product, the more we expect from it. Obviously. You won’t expect a tee-shirt from Zara to out last one from say, Zadig and Voltaire, even if they are…

As you may or may not know, I have a thing for red lipstick. I have new found respect for red lipstick, a colour that once scared me to even look at. But since I lost my red lipstick virginity I can safely say, I glide confidently into the land of the bold. I’m not…

BeautyBarry M, nail polish, Vanity Case

I’ve been obsessed with Barry M nail polishes for a long, long time and they are seriously good stuff; long lasting, hard wearing and pretty colours. I especially adore the gel nail paint collection in the really bright colours of which I have several… soon come. They’re cheap as chips; £2.99; Boots and Superdrug often…

BeautyLip Gloss, Makeup, Vanity Case

I have a confession to make, I am a lip gloss addict. Well I’m an addict of too many things, but lip gloss is right up there with handbags because a girl can never have too many of either. I can’t remember how or when, but lip glosses just became the thing and we have…

Popping the Cherry.

BeautyMAC, Makeup, red lips, Vanity Case

Relax your horses not that cherry, its a cherry of a different kind. All my life, I don’t remember ever using red lipstick. I’ve always fantasised about it, often wondered what it would look like on me. I love it on other women, it always looks so powerful and sexy and confident- nothing states confidence…

It’s definitely reading a lot like Christmas on the blog today. Advent stories nine down 15 to go (yes I counted that with my fingers because maths is not my strong suit.) a new year. A new story. And new shenanigans of rich people problems. @alizalichtxo said she was recording five podcasts on Friday and I felt very seen so I’ve caught up over 24 hours with nine stories. Sleep? What sleep?! Oh and the newsletter has gone out. Finally. Mate I have a day job so soz. In any case it’s a pretty good one and we’ll be peeling the layers as we go up to Christmas. Gifts for you, your kid’s teachers, an old friend. And also did I say for you. Yes. You. Because it’s all your ‘ardwork. If you’re not signed up yet. Sign up and I’ll send it, t’ya. Anyways. I’m real tired. But Christmas!! So go read and indulge. xoxo . . . . . . #christmas #advent #writer #stories #london #holiday #yuletide #holidaywindows #itsbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas #tistheseason #jolly #falalalala #tired #shortstories

On the blog. The BEST Christmas windows has to be Fortnum & Mason. The cats are the least of it but it’s got everything with a holly jolly on top. The advent calendar of the building and that feeling it creates as we watch across the road is the cherry on top. It’s glorious and joyful. And all the cats. . . . . . . #fortnumandmason #christmaswindows #advent #London
The Holiday Windows | Selfridges It took everything not to have this be my favourite window this year but you’ll soon see why once I post my fave tomorrow but this window is splendid in its simplicity. It’s a futuristic and minimalistic approach to the season. At first I thought WTF is going on here and it took a while to get on board with the concept. But also adapting brothers Grimm tales and spinning it into a commercial story fit for a modern day but never taking away from the premise of the story is something quite interesting and genius. It’s my second favourite only by a hair. A few weeks ago this was my absolute least favourite. . . . . . . . #theholidaywindows #advent #London #selfridges #christmaswindows #minimalism #futuristic
