Of all the people who deserve gifts and pampering for the holiday season, new parents are right at the top of my list. None more so deserving of time and care. They are the ones I most want to spoil during this season particularly because the sleepless nights and the hours in the day that are not enough.
Baby Carrier
As a friend of many parents, I cannot hear enough about this so it is always high on my list of what to get friends with babies or expectant babies and if you think one is enough… its never.
The Calendar
I am sucker for a calendar of any kind because stationery, but as we get old there is an innate need to write things down, to have full visibility of things… in hopes of actually making the time.
To Go
Mate it is rough being a new parent because everything is new again and you have a new life to bring up in a world that seems to be losing its fucking mind, and then there’s the lack of sleep that colours every new parent’s early days. Small mercies in to-go cups. Please ensure this comes with a coffee supply.
The Diaper Bag
Essentials on being a new parent; a wonderfully chic diaper bag that hardly looks the part and I like this cut of this one.
Food Basket
When in doubt, come with food, just like our mothers taught us because if there is one thing new parents do not have time for, its cooking, therefore ply them with food.
Away
A weekend, a night or two away with your friend who is a new parent is always a welcome and mighty fine idea so please make space and time for them because it is much needed
