It’s simple, its darling and its the perfect cocktail for the summer. I have never been so enamoured with Gin and Tonic until a friend of mine introduced me to the perfect moment to have it; on a summer evening in Paris having walked the length and breadth of the city, post dinner and before bed. It is the perfect unwinding tonic if you will.
Ingredients:
- a good gin; I flirt with the rose gin from Mirabeau and the Chocolate gin from York Gin
- Elderflower tonic water; I favour fever tree
- A wedge of green apple
- 2 king strawberries halved.
- Ice.
How to:
- In a colin glass place three cubes of ice.
- place the cut up fruits
- pour the gin
- pour the elderflower tonic
- Bottoms up.
The best thing is that you can actually build this with anything I am going to try mangoes next; I do not like mangoes as a fruit to eat, but in a drink… it holds it own like a banana in a smoothie.
