Because exes have a humming device to our happiness once we move on, they cannot help thinking we are tethered to them therefore our smiles, laughs, sighs from sexual satisfaction belongs to them and them only. So they will do anything to always be around to hear you laugh and sigh and live out some tepid fantasy that you have outgrown. So, my darling, to a party where you know your ex will be, put the fear of God into him with your outfit. GO BIG and BOMBASTIC.
And we are not showing up empty handed, of course not, we come bearing gifts of the unforgettable kind and nothing quite says unforgettable like a bottle of Macallan or Cognac.
The Party With Your In-laws:
Look, party with the in-laws is always going to be a thing so we are just going to roll with it and take it as it is. We will dress the part, look the part, DO NOT MAKE ANYTHING simply buy a basket, a most decadent basket, spend a few hours there and head back home. OR you can simply skip it all together.
We never turn up to the in-laws without something and when I say something I mean something perfect; either a hamper from my fave fortnum’s or a hamper of wine from somewhere like Berry’s Bros in Piccadilly.
The Party With Your Bestie
This is the one we have been looking forward to, nothing uptight, nothing overly thought just a place for you to hang out with your bestest and most loveliest person outside of your family. Your chosen family. We get to let our hair down and glide into the season. It is the place that slots our heart right into place because we are in the right place. There’ll be drinks, laughs, conversations about the party with your ex and your in-laws and you will right the world’s wrong or get properly drunk on champagne; either way it is always going to be a good time.
