Liberty. Oh Liberty. I always feel sorry for Liberty because it has those pokey windows and not a lot of real estate to play with in comparison to say Harrods or Selfridges or Harvey Nics. But I think this is where it could lean (for fuck sake with that expression but it works) into that and play it big because it has that stunning Tudor building that is so apt so perfect so story book like that a scene in the window would tie it all together.

This felt like just tossing a bunch of stuff together, masting a flag, a tent at times, the fringed trees, and then calling it wonder and exploration. Where are we going? The North Pole? I didn’t necessarily not like this but the story was jagged at times.
I get what they are going for and props for working in travel into this but I wanted something more charming more romantic to enhance the joy of Christmas and the magic embodied in its store history itself. Because the space is already small, the products so closely merchandised together looked even more cluttered, and tightly wound. A world of wonder using your imagination to play into that should evoke more wonder looking at it. This did could have gone further into the theme, danced outside the lines but then it was constrained by the little bits of real estate.
