Vagabond

Vagabond- A Photo Diary; Eguisheim, Alsace

Little town, it’s a quiet village
Every day like the one before
Little town full of little people
Waking up to say…
Bonjour!
Bonjour!!
Bonjour!
Bonjour!
Bonjour!

Eguisheim is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department, Alsace. A little town to the North-East of France. Not quite full of little people, but I would imagine everyday to be like the one before, filled with tourists taking scene pictured, marvelling at the prettiness of the town, timber homes, cobbled roads, really good wine, barrels, the hills, and gorgeous colours.

It is the most beautiful town I have ever visited. My niece said to me as we drove through, ‘are we going to see the princess?’ and I said ‘yes we are’. My God what a beauty. My sister lives about twenty minutes from this town in the Black Forest, more on that later.

Eguisheim is filled with romance and all the pretty things of the world, from little colourful houses to donut pretzels, and really good wine. It is a town that still has square where people dine out, whilst a band plays live music, and other people get up and dance.

A town of little cobbled, winding roads that lead into one another, little houses, beams, hearts and flowers- literally hearts on windows and flowers everywhere, and lots of vineyards. A prettier town never existed. Surrounded by green and hills, with spectacular fresh air. I would imagine waking up there to be something out of a Disney cartoon, literally. Gosh the locals must be so over it man, but I’m sorry, not really, your town is just too pretty to ignore. Live with it.

What we did for the most part of the day, was walk around in amazing stupor with my sister, niece, nephew, and brother-in-law. Look at the pictures and tell you do not want to go there and live there forever and ever…

Eguisheim is beautiful, stunning, painfully gorgeous, and dreamy. It is the perfect day out with the family whilst your in and around the area, or better still a glorious and romantic weekend away to switch off from everything and enjoy the beauty of life.
